Born and raised in Christchurch, New Zealand, I moved to Australia in 2001. I decided to to pursue my studies in Psychology, where I attended Charles Sturt University. I have since spent a number of years working with injured workers, inmates within corrective services, Veterans and NDIS clients in the private sector.
I enjoy working with children, adolescents and adults, and strive to achieve optimal outcomes by using an open, honest and client-centred approach to therapy. My approach is grounded in evidence-based interventions, and includes Schema Therapy (ST), Dialectal Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Eye-Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). I specialise in the treatment of trauma.
Private Sessions are charged at $180 per hour (GST inclusive). Payment is made at the time of booking for initial visits and on the day for subsequent visits.
You do not need a referral to see a psychologist. However, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate if your GP refers you with a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). If you would prefer to attend privately (not under an MHCP), you may be able to receive a rebate from your private health insurer. Please discuss this with your insurer directly.
For psychological services provided by a registered psychologist (50-60 minute session), the Medicare rebate is $88.25 per session.
Written assessments and letters of correspondence are charged at an hourly or part hourly rate.
Please note, missed sessions and those cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged in full, unless by agreement.
